Baghdad International Fair – Baghdad, Iraq

The Baghdad International Fair was held at the International Fairgrounds in Baghdad in 2002, under the patronage of President Saddam Hussein.
Participants
- Kingdom of Saudi Arabia: Participated for the first time since the 1991 events, following the royal decree of King Fahd bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.
- Saudi Companies & Factories: A large group of Saudi factories and companies participated through an official organized pavilion.
- Iraqi Official Attendance: The Saudi pavilion was officially inaugurated by Mr. Taha Yassin Ramadan, Vice President of Iraq, representing President Saddam Hussein.
Objectives
- Strengthen trade relations between Saudi Arabia and Iraq.
- Showcase Saudi products to Iraqi officials and the public.
- Create business cooperation opportunities under the Oil-for-Food Agreement.
Achievements & Recognition
- Saudi products received great appreciation from Iraqi officials and the public.
- The organizing company received a Certificate of Appreciation and a Medal from President Saddam Hussein for significant efforts in documenting trade relations.
- Participating companies were awarded official contracts from the Iraqi government due to their distinguished participation.
